Atlanta Street Of Dreams 2007 Granite Countertops

This year’s show included nine remarkable show homes situated in Tributary at New Manchester, a  1,475-acre master-planned community close to downtown Atlanta off I-20 West. The homes showcase the latest trends in residential construction, interior design, architecture, technology, and landscaping. The homes range from 2,200 to 8,000 square feet in size and be priced up to $1.8 Mil +. This will be the widest range of home sizes and prices ever included in a Street of Dreams, and should have broad appeal to show attendees.

My favorite part of the tour was seeing what’s new in the kitchens, both indoors and outdoor kitchens.  I was not disappointed. The beautiful homes featured in the 2007 Atlanta Street of Dreams featured some beautiful granite countertops, travertine back splashes, travertine tile floors, and fantastic outdoor kitchens.  I was able to tour the homes and have a few photos for you to see.  The granite was very impressive in design and workmanship, and stone was a big part of every home. A new feature in several homes was polished concrete floors in basements and patios.

The granite countertops made much more of a statement this year vs. 2006. Bright colors and rich patterns were the norm instead of the tiny “is this real granite?” patterns used in most of the homes last year. Travertine and ceramic tile designs behind the stove tops added beauty and function to the kitchens as did  the farmhouse sinks.
